Addyman Archaeology shortly before they left. He was cleaning the courtyard ready for a series of detailed photographs which were taken from the battlements, this before the scaffolding goes up in the courtyard obscuring the view.
The archaeologists will be back. Once the exterior scaffolding is complete they'll be on it recording the walls, windows and battlement features. They had a preliminary look today and they were very excited.
The Mingary Castle restoration blog was written by Jon Haylett, who lives in the local village of Kilchoan. Now that restoration is almost complete Holly and Chris Bull will take over to report on bringing the Castle back to life.
